Commerce giant OSF Digital acquires NZ-based consultancy Adept Group
Thu, 20th May 2021
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Commerce giant OSF Digital is padding out its presence in New Zealand and Australia through the acquisition of New Zealand-based consultancy and integration firm Adept Group.

Adept Group, which has offices in Auckland and Wellington, works with customers across verticals such as banking, energy, FMCG, and retail. The company specialises in CPQ and Salesforce clouds.

OSF Digital has been a Salesforce partner for more than 10 years. It specialises in B2B and B2C commerce and works with companies including Ubisoft, Lush Handmade Cosmetics, and many others.

OSF Digital and Adept have been working together since 2019 following Adept's onboarding to the OSF Global Partner Alliance.

Adept CEO Dominic Stow says there are few digital service companies in Australia and New Zealand that have the experience and skills necessary to help B2C firms with their digital strategies, and certainly none like OSF Digital.

“By joining forces, we can continue meeting the needs of our core B2B customer base while creating an opportunity to engage a long list of B2C companies in the region that have been underserved from a digital commerce perspective.

“In addition, we will be able to expand our ability to deliver on our customers' digital transformation objectives by combining Commerce solutions with Salesforce Core Cloud solutions—a very compelling proposition to be able to provide this full customer 360 to our clients.

According to OSF Digital CEO Gerard (Gerry) Szatvanyi, OSF quickly noticed that both companies shared an aligned vision to deliver B2B and B2B commerce services.

“As part of the company's effort and mission to become the top global digital transformation partner to commerce brands worldwide, OSF began looking at New Zealand and Australia as logical opportunities for expansion. Adept was a terrific match based on the strength of its reputation, skill set and relationships with many of the leading brands in the region.

Szatvanyi adds that the acquisition expands its presence in the region and will draw on the coordination of the company's existing Asia Pacific team.

“The move also strengthens our position as a leading digital transformation partner to B2B and B2C brands that want to start or enhance their digital strategies locally and expand globally.

Last year OSF Digital launched more than 20 solutions and commerce accelerators ‘to help brands around the world begin selling online fast and overcome pandemic-related challenges'.

Adept says to its customers, “You can expect the same high level of service that you have come to expect from our team. We're excited to grow together and looking forward to helping more brands with their digital transformation.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
